What we collect

Nothing. The developer of Period Tracker by Gita does not collect, receive, store or transmit any personal information about you.

Specifically, the app does not:

• ask for a name, email address, phone number or any other identifier
• create an account or require a sign-in
• upload your cycle, symptom, mood or note data anywhere
• include advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics software
• read your contacts, photos, microphone, camera or location
• read from or write to Apple Health

What stays on your device

Your log is stored in a database inside the app's private storage area, which iOS protects from other apps. This includes:

• the days you marked, and the flow level for each
• symptoms, moods and notes you added
• your cycle and period length settings, reminder preferences and app lock setting

This data is included in an encrypted iPhone or iCloud backup if you make one. Those backups are controlled by Apple and by you, not by us.

Deleting the app removes the database. You can also erase everything from within the app: Settings → Delete all data.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. Nothing is sent through a server, and no push token is created. The wording is deliberately vague so a notification on your lock screen does not reveal what the app is for.

Face ID and Touch ID

If you turn on the app lock, iOS performs the authentication. The app is told only whether it succeeded. Biometric data never reaches the app and is never stored by it.

Purchases

If you buy a Pro subscription, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple, using StoreKit, which is part of iOS. There is no third-party payments or analytics SDK in the app.

Whether your subscription is active is read from the signed receipt Apple already keeps on your device. That check happens on the device and needs no server of ours, so it also works offline.

We never see your name, your Apple Account, your card, or your purchase history. Apple processes the payment under its own terms, and nothing about your cycle, symptoms, moods or notes is involved in a purchase in any way.

Export

Exporting writes a file to temporary storage and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where that file goes is entirely your choice. Nothing is uploaded by the app.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete on your behalf. You have direct and complete control:

• See your data: it is all in the app.
• Export it: Settings → Export my data.
• Delete it: Settings → Delete all data, or delete the app.

A note on legal requests

We cannot hand over what we do not have. Your log is not on a server we control, so there is no database for anyone to subpoena. Bear in mind that an unencrypted device backup, or a phone someone else can unlock, is still readable. Turning on the app lock and using a device passcode is worth doing.

Children

Period Tracker by Gita is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Not medical advice

Period Tracker by Gita is not a medical device. Its predictions are estimates based on your own history and general cycle science. It must not be used as contraception or to diagnose any condition. Talk to a clinician about anything that concerns you.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version appears here with a new date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
